After much careful consideration and reflection for discernment the decision was taken that it is now time to lay QRG down. There were two main reasons, one that there were insufficient members able to form a new committee to take the work forward and secondly that many activities of a reflective or retreat type nature are taking place within the Society of Friends.
We are thankful for all that has been achieved in the past and hope that retreat giving and one to one ministry will continue to encourage spiritual life.
Enquirers looking for retreats or spiritual accompaniment in their local area should contact Michael Booth, the Support for Meetings Officer at Quaker Life. In addition, enquirers in the Yorkshire area may like to know that several former QRG members are starting a network to promote retreatwork and spiritual friendship/accompaniment in Yorkshire Local and Area Meetings. For information about this, contact Judith Smith.
